A number of TOPS Users have recently inquired about the ability to use TOPS to route orders for the A/C/E (Alliance CBOT Eurex) platform trading CBOT products. The TOPS system is not interfaced into the A/C/E trading platform and therefore cannot relay orders directly to the A/C/E trading engine. However, in response to member firm requests, the session indicator has been enabled to facilitate routing A/C/E orders to printers. After the order is printed, it can then be rekeyed into a A/C/E order entry device. Please note that the TOPS orders will be printed denoting �Project A�, the CBOT�s former electronic trading platform. Further, the printers queues are not actively monitored between 4:30 pm and 6:00am; consequently, the Exchange will not be aware of any issues that arise with these queues during that time frame.

As a reminder, the CBOT intends to decommission TOPS for all CBOT products including the above noted functionality on Memorial Day weekend, 2001.
